It is an energetic practice that tones the entire body as well as disciplining the mind. The room is warmed to 95 degrees with 60% humidity. Open to all levels of students, These classes will leave you feeling light and open to possibilities.
Our non-heated classes include:
Slow Flow: Tuesday@ 9:30AM & Thursday @ 9AM
In this class we will practice postures (asana), conscious breathing (Pranayama), and relaxation techniques to develop strength, flexibility, balance and well being. No prior experience is necessary. This is an all-levels class - particularly great for beginners.
Yin:
Yin yoga, a non-heated class, is a form of yoga that is quiet and inwardly focused. The postures, mostly targeting the low back and hips, are all practiced on the floor with the support of props (bolsters, blankets, and blocks) and are held for 3 to 5 minutes allowing you to reach deep into the connective tissues and the joints. This type of yoga can help you access new depths in postures, deeper ranges of motion, or an increased flow of energy. Many students find Yin Yoga to be the perfect complement and balance to their more active, yang practices (such as Power Vinyasa). Yin Yoga is a practice everyone can enjoy and also a great place for beginners to start.
Restorative: Wednesday @ 6PM
This class is appropriate for students seeking the benefits of a very relaxing, gentle, and nourishing practice. The combination of gentle hatha and restorative poses along with pranayama ( breathing techniques) will improve range of motion and joint mobility while reducing pain and the effects of stress. Restorative yoga poses require no muscular exertion; each pose is held for several minutes and deeply supported by props – blankets, bolsters, and blocks. Gentle/Restorative yoga is a great addition to a beginner or seasoned practitioner and will leave you feeling calm and grounded.
Trapeze Yoga: Monday @ 6PM
All classes are open for drop in, but we recommend that you preregister online and reserve your space.
